Chill-out and Get-together

From 21.30 Congress participants can bring the first day of the Congress to a close in an informal "Chill-out and Get-together" with a cocktail bar. The hotel's glass-panelled DomLounge with a view over Berlin's fascinating skyline is the ideal location.

(All welcome! No prior registration required.)

27 September 2019

Visit to the Reichstag

The Reichstag building is just a few steps from the Brandenburg Gate and is a must for every visitor to Berlin. The Reichstag has been the seat of the German Bundestag (lower house of parliament) since 1999. Almost no other building in Germany is as fully representative of the vicissitudes of German history since the 19th century. The "Evergreen".

Exclusive guided tour in English language.

Guided tour ‘Die Wende’

In the late summer of 1989, tens of thousands of GDR citizens travelled to the West via the socialist brother states. The centres of the Socialist Unity Party and government power were located in buildings that can still be found 30 years later: State Council Building, Central Committee, Council of Ministers. Join a Berlin contemporary witness on a search for vestiges between Spreeinsel and Alexanderplatz. Exclusive walk, moderated in German and English language.

Museumsinsel - "The ‘Neues Museum’ of Star Architect David Chipperfield"

The 'Neues Museum', renovated by British star architect David Chipperfield, has won numerous prizes since its reopening in 2009. The architectural tour highlights the special quality of the building.

Exclusive guided tour in English language.

Deutsches Historisches Museum - Epochenführung „Vom geteilten Deutschland bis zur deutschen Einheit (1945–1994)“

From the introduction of the D-Mark in 1948, the establishment of the Berlin Airlift, the division of Germany, Beetles and Trabbi as symbols of the different everyday worlds in West and East, the construction of the Berlin Wall to the peaceful revolution and reunification, this guided tour takes you on a journey into the past of Germany.

Exclusive guided tour in German language.
