Johannes Anschott (born in 1969) has been a member of BayernLB’s Board of Management since 1 April 2021 and is responsible for the corporate clients and capital markets business. The Corporates & Markets Business Area under his remit includes
BayernLB’s business with corporates and mid-sized (Mittelstand) corporate clients, as well as the Bank's capital market activities.

After completing an apprenticeship as a banker and a degree in business administration, he started his career in the corporate clients business of National Bank, based in Essen. Johannes Anschott spent most of his working life at Commerzbank, where he held various German and international management roles in Corporate Banking, was responsible for the northern German large corporates business and was a managing director of Mittelstandsbank Nord. In 2016 he was appointed to the Board of Management of Commerz Real AG and from June 2020 until his move to BayernLB he was Chairman of the Board of Management.
