Michael Schmidt is a member of the management board and the Chief Investment Officer of Lloyd Fonds AG, a fast-growing, independent investment management firm based in Hamburg, Germany. Michael is also a board member of DVFA, the German Society of Investment Professionals, and heads its Commission on Corporate Governance & Stewardship. He is a member of the Sustainable Finance Committee of the German Federal Government and a member of the Sustainability Advisory Council at Deutsche Post DHL. In previous roles, Michael served on the management boards of Deka Investment and Union Investment for three and six years respectively. Prior to that, he worked for 14 years in the asset management division of Deutsche Bank. In 2017-2018, Michael was also a member of the EU Commission’s High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance ("HLEG").
