Dr. Michael Huertas LL.M., MBA, is a Partner with PwC. As Head of Financial Institutions Regulatory Europe he leads a group of multi-disciplinary, multi-jurisdictionally qualified and multilingual professionals who help clients navigate the EU's regulatory, supervisory and monetary policy framework for traditional financial services firms and Fintechs. Michael is qualified as a lawyer in England & Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Germany. Michael has recently led on advising the establishment of the EU's first Securitisation Repository and during his time at the ECB he also worked on the drafting of the ECB's input on the Securitisation Regulation and various other Capital Markets Union workstreams. In addition to his regulatory advisory practice he also assists clients with their derivatives and structured finance transactions.
